If you know me, you’ll know that I’ve always loved my polishes. I remember paining my nails in primary, thinking I was the bees knees with my crackle nail polish. Who else remembers that?!
Especially now I’m at college, my nails are usually painted in some form, (when I have the patience) either with polish, press on ones or gels which I now do myself thanks to the kit I got last Christmas! Thank you mum. So when celebrity nail profession, Roxanne Campell’s email popped in my inbox asking if I wanted to try some samples of her own luxury nail lacquers from the collection and share my thoughts, I was beyond excited. I have picked out three shades perfect for this season and also transiting into the winter months.
When it comes to polishes, it’s always a struggle. There’s the time that you have to apply 100+ coats for it to look semi decent, the one that chips after you literally breathe, or if your nails have actually gone well theres’ no doubt you’ll ruin them in the drying stage and get that textured imprint. Fab isn’t it. What makes these polishes unlike the rest is that that the ‘long-lasting’ formula is designed to ensure lasting nail perfection and easy application. I have been putting these polishes to the test and I have to say they are pretty darn good. Roxanne has nail experience of over 12 years and has even done nails for Adele and the London 2012 Olympic gold medalists so she definitely knows a thing or two about polishes.
I can see why these polishes are stated as ‘luxury’ even though they only retail at £10. I am very impressed and so happy with how my nails turned out using these. They applied like a dream and I also love the packaging. I did do two coats as I felt like one didn’t quite do it but they dried within no time and so far haven’t chipped. The shades are so pretty too. ‘Nude Tight’s’ is the classic nude to go with any outfit for any occasion (perfect for work too), ‘Stormy Weather’ is a perfect grey tone and ‘Kiss Me Quick’ is a vibrant red which I can’t wait to use at Christmas especially, topped with a glitter topcoat or alone. The finish of the polishes are almost like gels which adds to the quality feel. All of Roxanne’s polishes are also cruelty free and free from formaldehyde, toluene and camphor.
