I hope you are all well and are having a lovely weekend! As the first month in the year has come to and end which seems to have flown by, I thought a favourites post was due where I show you some bits and pieces that I’ve been loving throughout January! I hope you enjoy my lovelies…
January Favourites 2017:
- Barry M Cosmetic Bag – I’m Not Perfect, I Contour-£5.24 was £6.99
- Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit in the shade ‘Fair’-£4.99
- Seventeen Mono Eyeshadow in the shade ‘Walnut Pearl’-£3.89
- L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipstick in the shade ‘Nude Gold’-£6.99
- Makeup Revolution My Sign Lipgloss in the shade ‘Pisces’-£3.00
The first product that I was loving throughout January was this Barry M Cosmetic Bag. You may or may not know that I love anything with a good quote on so as soon as I saw this in Superdrug a few weeks ago, it was going in my basket! I had been after another makeup bag for quite a while as my old one was too small and had got a bit grubby with makeup stains!! All in all it needed replacing and this one was perfect! It is a generous size to fit quite a large amount of products in which is great and I also love the fact that if you do get it dirty, it is nice and easy to clean!! The design is adorable with the makeup brushes and cameras and as a beauty blogger, this seemed like the perfect makeup bag to store my makeup in! Barry M also have other makeup bag designs to choose from in this range which you can see HERE if you fancy having a browse!
The next product that I was also loving last month was the Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit. I have mine in the shade ‘Fair’ as I am sadly pale but they also do another shade ‘Medium’ for slightly darker skin tones. I have already mentioned this product in my previous post Seventeen First Impressions but I couldn’t not mention it in this post also because it has to be my favourite new product discovery last month!
The contour kit itself reminds me a lot of the Nars contour kit packaging which they have probably tried to dupe but considering the difference in prices ranges, the Seventeen contour kit contains such a great quality bronzer and highlighter that are nice and easy to blend! I also like the fact that they are matte and don’t contain glitter or shimmer as it gives you a natural glow and bronze but if you wanted to go all out, the shades are very buildable also! Another thing I love is the great sized mirror perfect for travelling and to pop into your handbag! Overall, I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for an affordable contour kit!
Another product from Seventeen is this Seventeen Mono Eyeshadow in the shade ‘Walnut Pearl’. It is such a lovely pure copper shade that I have fallen in love with! The eyeshadow is a shimmery/metallic shade which can I just say is SO highly pigmented!! I also own another one of these in the shade ‘Funfair‘ which is a gorgeous pink champagne shade but this one has to be my fave! They are also easy to apply and blend and after having loved these, I would definitely consider picking up some more shades! These shadows also have a button you press to open them which is amazing as I always find myself trying to open products for about half an hour!
Moving onto lips, this L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipstick in the shade ‘Nude Gold’ was definitely one of my firm favourites in January! As you can tell by the shape, I have used this quite a lot since purchasing it a few weeks ago because it is simply gorgeous!! I also love the gold concept as each lipstick contains specks of gold glitter which adds a nice shimmer to your lips without being too in your face and overpowering! There is also a pure gold shade in the range which you could use on top of any lipstick to add a bit of sparkle to your makeup look! I heard so many great things about these lipsticks and I definitely agree with them now having tried and loved this lippy!
Finally the last product is this Makeup Revolution My Sign Lipgloss in the shade ‘Pisces’ which is a lovely peachy nude shade. I usually don’t pick up any of Makeup Revolution’s lip products but when I saw their new My Sign range I thought I’d give them a try! I am also not one for glosses but surprisingly I don’t find these sticky which is fab! They are also highly pigmented which I wasn’t expecting for the price! The shades range from pinky nudes to darker nudes but this one was my personal favourite even though it’s not my star sign which is Gemini! You could wear these glosses by them selves shown in my photo below or on top of another lip product! Overall, Makeup Revolution has definitely upped their lip game!
That brings me to the end of my January Favourites 2017! Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you have tried any of these products as I’d love to know what you thought of them or what your favourite product was in January??
Much Love, Amelia xx
