I hope you are all well and are having a lovely weekend! A few days ago Seventeen very kindly sent me another very exciting package containing a few of their makeup products to review! As soon as I opened the package, I couldn’t wait to try the products out and share with you my opinions on them! I hope you enjoy my lovelies…
Seventeen Products That I Received:
- Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit in the shade ‘Fair’-£4.99
- Seventeen Mono Eyeshadows in the shades ‘Funfair’ and ‘Walnut Pearl’-£3.89
- Seventeen Eyeshadow Brush-£1.99
- Seventeen Brow’s That! Brow Kit-£4.99
- Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick in the shade ‘The Coral Of The Story’ -£3.99
Although I kindly got sent these products to try, all my opinions are my own and I personally think that Seventeen do such great quality and affordable products which is great because I love being able to share with you products that aren’t too expensive so everyone can get their hands on them! All the products I’m going to be reviewing are under £5 which is fab! Seventeen’s products are also on offer at the moment at Boots which is an extra bonus! Seventeen have every product you would need in most shades so there will definitely be something for you if you fancy having a browse at their products linked below! In my package there was a bit of everything from eyeshadows, brow kits, contour kits and a lippy which I am so grateful for that I am going to be sharing my thoughts on…
Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit in the shade ‘Fair’
The first product that I’m going to be talking about is this Define & Conquer Contour Kit. I have mine in the shade ‘fair‘ as I am sadly pale but they also do another shade ‘medium‘ for other darker skin tones. The contour and brow kit both came in boxes and a get the look guide which aren’t shown in my photos but I think Seventeen’s packaging is so sleek and minimalistic which I love. The contour kit itself reminds me a lot of the Nars contour kit (£32) packaging which they have probably tried to dupe but considering the difference in prices ranges, with this one only being almost £5 the Seventeen contour kit contains such a great quality bronzer and highlighter that are nice and easy to blend! I also like the fact that they are matte and don’t contain glitter or shimmer as it gives you a natural glow and bronze which I prefer but if you wanted to go all out, the shades are very buildable also! Another thing that I was impressed by was the great sized mirror perfect for travelling and to pop into your handbag! I know this probably sounds strange but I found that this palette was so easy to open as I always find myself trying to get palettes open for about half an hour! Anyway, would definitely recommend this if you are looking for an affordable contour kit!
Seventeen Mono Eyeshadows in the shades ‘Funfair’ and ‘Walnut Pearl’
The next products are these mono eyeshadows which I have also fallen in love with after trying them! I have the shades ‘Funfair’ which is a gorgeous pink champagne shade and ‘Walnut Pearl’ which is again a lovely pure copper shade. The shades are both shimmery/metallic shades which can I just take a moment to say are SO highly pigmented!! Although they didn’t transfer as pigmented as they were when I swatched them, they were still nice and pigmented that were easy to apply and blend. After having tried these, I would definitely consider picking up some more shades! As I said earlier I love the packaging of their products so when I saw that these shadows have an actual button you press to open them, I was amazed! I know it might be a small thing that no one else probably notices but it is so satisfying and easy to open!!
Seventeen Eyeshadow Brush
To go along with the eyeshadows I also received one of their eyeshadow brushes which always comes in handy because you can never have too many eyeshadow brushes! I’m forever getting the shades mixed up and having to clean them again so I was very grateful that I can add another one to my collection! The brush doesn’t specifically say what type of eyeshadow brush it is but as the brush is quite small I wouldn’t really say it would be a brush for the crease but I found it’s great for packaging on and blending the eyeshadows! If you are looking for an affordable eyeshadow brush, this one would be perfect!
Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick in the shade ‘The Coral Of The Story’
Moving onto lips, the next product which I received is this matte lipstick in the shade ‘The Coral Of The Story‘ which is a lovely coral pink to add a pop of colour to your makeup look! I already own a few of Seventeen’s Mega Matte lipsticks and I love the fact that they have a wide variety of shades from nudes, pinks and reds! I love a good matte lippy and it is an added bonus if they are non drying because my lips always seem to get dry after wearing a matte lipstick. I wouldn’t say that these didn’t make my lips dry which is a bit of a shame considering how pigmented the shades are and I also find the shape of the lipstick difficult to apply but hey ho they are still a great lipstick!
Seventeen Brow’s That! Brow Kit
Finally the last product is their brow Kit which I was very excited to try after having been converted to Benefit’s Gimmie Brow Eyebrow Gel as I didn’t think I would ever go back to using brow kits. Although I love the Benefit Gimmie Brow, I would still use this brow kit as an alternative as it contains everything you need from a brow wax, brow powder, highlighter, brow pencil and brush plus a good sized mirror! The one thing that is disappointing is that it only comes in one universal shade, a medium brown which is the right shade for me but it might not be the right shade if you have slightly lighter eyebrows.
That brings me to the end of my Seventeen First Impressions! Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you have tried any of these products as I’d love to know what you thought of them!? I’ll see you in my next post,
Much Love, Amelia xx
