I hope you are all well and are enjoying the festive season on the countdown the Christmas! As it is officially the most wonderful time of the year when you get to decorate everything in sight with fairy lights, wear your christmas pyjamas and go crazy at all this years Christmas products in the shops, I thought I would share with you some bits and pieces that I picked up at The Body Shop a few days ago all for under £15 to give you some Christmas gift inspiration! This post is also a collab with the lovely X_PLANETBEAUTY_X who is doing a similar post over on her blog which I know you will all love! After my very long ramble, here are some Christmas beauty gifts I picked up this year from The Body Shop without breaking the bank! (Also this is not an add I just thought this post might be helpful in some way if you are looking for some fab christmas gifts for your friends and family if you are on a budget!) I hope you enjoy my lovelies…
If you don’t already know, I am flipping obsessed with The Body Shop and have been for many years as I have sensitive skin and I find that their products are the only ones that don’t irritate my skin and above all smell incredible too! I am forever popping in and getting myself some of their shower gels and body butters but around this time of year I always like to have a look in to see what Christmas gifts they have as they are always so lovely! A few weeks ago I must have spent all of an hour gazing at all their Christmas products and beauty stands! As a beauty blogger, I am always intrigued at what Christmas products are released each year and The Body Shop definitely have upped their game this year!
The Body Shop Beauty Gifts Under £15:
- Strawberry Shower Gel-£4.00
- Strawberry Softening Body Butter-£6.00
- Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Windsor Rose’-£6.00
- Go For Gold Eyeshadow Quad-£15.00
- Down To Earth Quad Eye Shadow Palette in the shade ‘54589’- £15.00
- Eye Colour Stick in the shade ‘Cyprus Bronze’-£8.00
I’m Going To Start Off With The Skincare Items:
The first items I picked up were the mini Strawberry Shower Gel & the mini Strawberry Softening Body Butter. The Body Shop’s strawberry scent is my most favourite scent they do along with their British Rose scent which is equally as gorgeous! Whenever I use these products, they always make me feel lovely and refreshed, ooh la la! Especially around this time of year it is key to have a moisturiser to pop on after a shower or bath as the weather is getting increasingly colder! I think these mini sized products would make perfect gifts or stocking fillers that everyone will love! I chose the strawberry scent as it is my personal fave but it is also probably the scent that you know you can’t go wrong with because who doesn’t want to smell like a lovely fresh strawberry!? Although these products are mini sized, they do tend to last quite a long time especially the body butter but of course you could buy the full-sized products of these too!
Moving Onto The Makeup Items:
Whenever I buy anything from The Body Shop it is more often than not a bath or body product but they also have a wonderful makeup range too! This year I wanted to get my friends and family something that extra bit more special that was great quality but affordable at the same time! I am not exaggerating when I say I was shopping in there an hour because in the end I had to ask one of the very lovely members of staff if they could give me any advice on what to choose for the people I was buying for as there was SO much to choose from my brain just couldn’t cope with the Christmas excitement overload! After the lady swatched and showed me some of their makeup products, I chose my products and went with my basket to the till! Anyway, here are the makeup items that I picked up…
The first makeup product that grabbed my attention was their brand new matte liquid lipsticks! You all probably know by now how much I love a good matte lipstick so when I saw that one of my favourite skincare brands does liquid lipsticks in the perfect nude shade, excited is an understatement! I didn’t care if everyone was staring at me while I swatched every shade possible on my hand because they were all so lovely! I ended up choosing ‘Windsor Rose’ which is a classic nude shade because you can’t beat a good nude lippy! If you are wondering why there are two, I couldn’t help but picking up one for myself as well as one for a gift, oops! I have got so much use out of this lipstick already and did I say they also smell amazing? Anyway, would definitely recommend these for the price!
The next makeup products that I thought were perfect to gift to people were these very gorgeous Go For Gold Eyeshadow Quads and the Down To Earth Eye Shadow Quads in the shade/number ‘54589.‘ I have always loved the look of The Body Shop’s palettes so when I saw they had a discount on all their palettes for the Black Friday weekend when I was shopping, I took the chance to grab some of their palettes while the offer was on! Even though they are no longer on offer they are £15 at full price which I think is quite reasonable for such a gorgeous high quality palettes! There was a few shades to choose from but these were my personal favourites with the gold shimmers and matte brows in the ‘Go For Gold Quad‘ and the champagne pinks in the ‘Down To Earth Quad.’ I still can’t get over how gorgeous these palettes are with the sleek black packaging and the big mirror! Overall, I think these will make great gifts for any makeup lover the Christmas!
Finally, the last makeup products I added to my basket is this Eye Colour Stick in the shade ‘Cyprus Bronze.‘ I had never heard of these before but when I swatched the sample, oh my life it was beautiful! If you are not sure what these sticks are, they are basically an eye shadow in a stick form which are so easy to use that come in 4 different shades. I chose the shimmery, copper shade as I thought it was perfect for around this time of the year! As these products are actually going to be gifts for people, unfortunately I couldn’t swatch it to show you in this post but believe me it’s lush! I might even have to pop back and get one myself! That brings me to the end of my Christmas Beauty Gifts Under £15 at The Body Shop! Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments if you have picked up any gifts from The Body Shop this year or what gift is at the top of your Christmas list if you celebrate it!? Make sure to check out the post that x_planetbeauty_x did over on her blog and I’ll see you in my next post!
Much Love, Amelia xx
