Best filters for blog photos

Best filters for blog photos

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and are having a lovely Sunday! It has only been until recently that I’ve been loving trying out new filters for my blog photos and different editing apps and although I never like to drastically change my pictures, I’ve noticed that adding a filter and perhaps adjusting the brightness really makes a big difference to the photo and turn it from being plain and dull to that bit more personalised and bright. I’m not saying I like to go too overboard and totally change the photo as sometimes if the sun is shining and there is hopefully good lighting, I don’t need to change anything. If the photo does need a bit of livening up however, a filter is a quick and easy fix! I thought I would share with you the apps and filters I have been using recently if you are also thinking of upping your blog/instagram game by giving your photos a bit of a refresh that hopefully you will love too…

Questions I’ve Never Answered

Questions I’ve Never Answered

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well! Today I thought I would sit down and do a more relaxed blog post and answer your questions that I have never answered before in the hope of getting to know me and the person behind the blog a bit more! Although I love sharing my opinions on beauty products in my usual posts, it’s sometimes nice to do a more chatty post which is something I definitely want to do more of on my blog to really get my personality across and me as a person. Thank you so much to everyone who sent in their questions as there were some good’uns and I thoroughly enjoyed answering as many of them as best I could! You might want to grab yourself a cuppa and get comfy as this could be quite the ramble! I hope you enjoy my lovelies… View Post

Rocky Road Crunch Bars

Rocky Road Crunch Bars

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and are having a fabulous weekend! A few weeks ago at Easter I did a blog post on how to make Creme Egg Cupcakes which I was so pleased to see that you all seemed to enjoy! Although I am by no means the Mary Berry of baking, besides from blogging I also love baking and getting creative in the kitchen so after getting requests to do more baking on my blog which is definitely something I want to do more of, I thought for this weeks post I would share with you how I made these super easy (and scrumptious) Rocky Road Crunch Bars. These don’t require much skill or need any fancy ingredients to make so anyone can have a go at baking them if you fancy making some delish, chocolatey bakes! I know these aren’t the most healthiest of foods but they are perfect if you want to grab yourself a quick high calorie snack that everyone can enjoy! I hope you enjoy my lovelies…

Going self hosted

Going self hosted

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and are having a lovely weekend! About a month ago I plucked up the courage to make the move and go self hosted which I’m not going to lie, was a pretty big decision that I was SO excited for but also nervous for at the same time! I did a blog post that you can see HERE that explains why I decided to go self hosted and all that jazz but since doing that post I had a LOT of questions and requests for me to do a blog post dedicated to my experience and the process of going self hosted as I know it was something that was quite daunting for me that I had to do a lot of research on before finally making the move. For today’s post I thought I would do exactly that and dedicate this post all about going self hosted and hopefully try to answer all your questions. This might turn out to be quite an essay of a post but I’ll try to make it as simple and easy to understand as possible! I hope you enjoy my lovelies… View Post

My Scoliosis MRI Experience

My Scoliosis MRI Experience

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and are having a great start to the week! Yesterday I went to the hospital to have a thoracic spine MRI scan as a few weeks prior to that I was diagnosed with spinal scoliosis which is a condition that causes the spine to curve to the side. It can affect any part of the spine, but the most common regions are the chest area (thoracic scoliosis) which is what I have and the lower section of the back (lumbar scoliosis.) I have had problems with my back since I was young but I only recently discovered that this was the cause of my problems. I thought I would do a quick bonus blog post this week and share with you my experience and things you should know before having an MRI if any of you have an appointment for a scan or may need one in the future which hopefully none of you will!  View Post
