Although I love nothing more than a new makeup product release, skincare alwaysss comes first. When Green People offered to very kindly send me over their ‘My Skin Goals’ set to try containing three of their products, I jumped at the chance. I’ve heard such great things about Oy! skincare from fellow bloggers so I couldn’t wait to try them for myself!
Oy! Also known as ‘Organic Young’ is skincare that specialises in young skin like mine, hence the name. A main factor that drew me to Green People is that they are certified as organic, cruelty free, vegan and fair traded which is amazing. Their products also don’t contain any parabens, synthetic fragrances or any aggressive ingredients too which is important. Reading more into their story, the brand was created by Charlotte after failing to find products for her daughter’s allergy-prone skin. So these products are perfect for sensitive skin and have been made very much with aiding others in mind. 10% of their net profit is donated to charity too.
I’ve been using Superdrug’s own face wash morning and night for a while now so I was intrigued to try this one for a change. This is an antibacterial face wash which is going to thoroughly cleanse your pores. It’s advised to leave on for longer for ‘extra spot-zapping action’ which I have been doing. I feel this teamed with the other products has helped with any breakouts I have, especially on my chin. After having a bad experience with T-Zone’s tea tree face wash, I was a bit apprehensive but this is a lot less abrasive and is a nice light foam.
I have combination skin so I tend to opt for a more water based or light moisturiser that will hydrate my dry areas but contain any oiliness. So I was so pleased to see that the formula of this is nice and light which is great as it spreads nicely on this skin without containing any oils. After applying, my skin feels a bit tight but leaves it feeling soft and refreshed. It also has a nice glow to it. With it being specifically for acne-prone skin you don’t want a moisturiser that is going to clog pores so if your looking for a new moisturiser this is a fab option. It smells amazing too.
This was the product I was most excited to try out of the three. Anything to help control breakouts I’m down for. This serum works to promote a clear complexion whilst reducing redness and irritation. It’s safe to say I’ve been applying this daily to problem areas and whilst scarring is still there, I have noticed any blemishes have become less. This really is a magic product.
If you couldn’t already tell, I’m very impressed with what I’ve tried so far from Green People and I’m definitely going to carry on using these products in my routine which will hopefully stop any future breakouts. The kit comes to a total of £30, making the products individually £10 which is affordable too which is crucial.
