New Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation Review & Wear Test

New Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation Review & Wear Test

As as drugstore makeup lover, Makeup Revolution is up there as one of my favourite brands along with their new brand Revolution Pro. I have spoken about their products quite a bit on my blog as you may have seen and I continue to love every new product they bring out! I love how they do great quality products for affordable prices so well that anyone has access to good quality makeup! Hello student life.

One product in particular that really wowed the beauty world, including me was their Conceal and Define Concealer that they released quite a few months ago. (see my review here.) Recently the brand dropped a bomb and have brought out this concealer that went viral in foundation form which is just £9. Yep that’s right gals. Finally what we’ve been patiently waiting for! They have also released the concealer in a larger size too! I couldn’t wait to share my opinions on this foundation now I have tested it! I am also including a wear test to really put it to the test.  Have Makeup Revolution impressed me yet again?

Yes, yes they have. In fact, I’m going as far to say that I even prefer it to the Revolution Pro Drop Foundation which has been my go to for months! This stuff is AMAZING.

First Impressions…

I’ve always stayed away from matte foundations as having dry to combination skin, I thought they would cling to the dry areas of my skin. This foundation however doesn’t cling to any dry areas or settle into any fine lines but mattifies the skin (obvs) which is perfect for any oily areas too as the formula is oil free and creamy that dries down demi-matte. Although I loved the drop foundation, it was a more glowy finish and throughout the day I found in some areas I began to get shiny. Just like the concealer, this foundation is FULL coverage so I didn’t need to layer it up. A small amount of this product goes a long way too which blends out beautifully. Although the formula is matte and full coverage, it feels surprising light on the skin and feels breathable which I love, perfect for everyday. I did get some creasing underneath my eyes but apart from that we are looking flawless.

A huge plus for me with this product is that it is paraben free, oil free, cruelty free and vegan which I feel is so important. Inclusivity-wise, the shade range of this foundation (of 24 shades) is fab and there’s something to suit an a-ray of light, olive and dark skin tones and undertones which I also like to see. My match is F2 and in the concealer I am F1. Packaging wise, the jumbo doe-foot applicator makes it easier to provide better control and less wastage!

Wear Test…

Over the course of the day, this foundation seems to keep the oily areas of my skin under control well which is amazing. Especially around my nose and T zone, there are so signs of shininess which I would usually expect to see occurring after a few hours.

Overall Thoughts:

If you can’t already tell, I am very impressed with this foundation and yet again I have found myself adding another product from this brand into my everyday makeup routine. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Would highly recommend!

Available at Superdrug & Revolution Beauty for £9.

Have you tried this foundation?

Oh no! That’s such a shame! I have heard a few people say this who have dry skin, I think it worked for me because I have combination skin even though I do have some dry areas. Thank you Ellie x

Loved this post! Such pretty photos and this foundation looks fab. Also it looks great on you. I am just worried as I have super dry skin that it would be totally bad for me and I do steer clear of matte foundations, but I love Makeup Revolution as a brand! Xx

Thank you so much as always Eden, so kind!! Aw no that’s such a shame. I have dry to combination skin so I have some dry areas and I haven’t found that this foundation clings to those areas so hopefully it might work xxx
