I don’t know about you, but my skin gets SO damn dry in the Winter months around this time of year, especially in times like now when the good old British weather throws at us dull wet days after day. It also doesn’t help when you try out a new face wash for a few days and don’t realise until the third day when you wake up and release that let’s say it has stripped your skin from its oils and clearly didn’t agree with your skin- big mistake. After plastering on vitamin E moisturisers, you name it, my skin was still as dry as the Sahara desert.
Anywayy, when I received another package from Botanics containing some of their organic nourishing products, it couldn’t have come at a better time thank the lord! After literally the first use of these beauties, my skin was finally restored to its normal self! Botanics products are also paraben free and promote themselves on reducing their impact on the planet which is what I like to hear am I right? So they are great for anyone with particularly sensitive skin! I thought I would do a little post on the products which I’ve recently added to my skincare routine, encase any of you are struggling with looking after your skin in the Winter months like moi…
The first product is their face oil which hydrates the skin and locks in moisture which I’ve been applying before bed so it can sink into my skin overnight, or can be used after cleansing. This is the product that has been the real life saver for me lately and although this may be a big statement, out of all the Botanics products I have tried so far, I think this is my fave! I also love the glass pipette/drop applicator and it applies so smoothly. Call me weird but I always feel like a proper scientist when using these types of pipette products. Anyway, this is definitely a winner for me and it also smells lovely!
If you have a few areas of dryness, this fast-absorbing eye cream nourishes the eye area and hydrates areas of dry skin. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines which is a bonus! Although I’m never usually one for eye creams, I’ve been enjoying using this recently since bringing it into my routine.
I believe this is a new product Botanics have added to their organic range which is this soothing mini balm which is so handy to fit in your handbag on the go to give any areas of your skin a hydrating boost which melts into the skin. It contains Rosehip Oil which is great for your skin and is so versatile as you can use it on chapped lips, dry hands, sunburn and whatever else! I found this little balm a saviour when I had a virus/cold that was going round at Christmas. Would defos recommend!
That brings me to the end of this lil’ post! I hope you are all having a FAB start to February and a lovely weekend!
Have you tried Botanics skincare? How do you keep your skin hydrated in the Winter months? Let me know!
