OH HEY GURLLL. I know I’m a day late BUT the countdown to Christmas has officially begun and I’ve never been more excited and that’s not just for advent!! 😉 Before I get sidetracked onto all things christmassy (well technically it’s to do with Christmas) on Black Friday a few weeks ago I popped in (or should I say spent a good hour in) The Body Shop seen as they had a 40% sale on (yep you heard it) so naturally I couldn’t resist the bargains and picked up a few christmas prezzies and also treated myself to a few things to get stocked up. Although the sale is now over, I thought I would share with you the bits I got encase you were after some last minute Christmas gift inspiration seen as The Body Shop have a whole load of gifts this year for all ages. This is by no means sponsored but as I have sensitive skin I find The Body Shop’s products are one of the few that don’t irritate my skin which is fab and they are also doing a ‘Our Enrich Not Exploit Commitment’ scheme which helps reducing the environmental footprint and all kinds of great causes which can be found on their website.
The first items I picked up were some more of their shower gels which can I just say smell INCREDIBLE. Although it’s hard to choose, the ‘British Rose’ sent has to be my all time classic fave which I also got as part of gifts. I also had a wander over to their Christmas collection for this year and couldn’t resist adding their ‘Frosted Berries’ one to my basket too as I remember loving it last year. Now thinking about it, I probably should have got 2 of those seen as they are limited edition for Christmas time only but in the meantime, I’m rather enjoying my bathroom smelling like Christmas every time I have a shower. This scent is literally Christmas in a bottle- there’s honestly nothing better. So perfect to get you in the festive mood! I also forgot to mention that in each shopping basket they put a few free samples in which I though was a nice idea and who doesn’t love a handful of free samples??
On the topic of shower essentials, this ‘pink grapefruit’ body butter was calling my nameee. This again smells good enough to eat and feels so refreshing to apply after a shower to moisturise your skin which is especially key in the winter months.
After loving their liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Windsor Rose’ I picked up another in this berry red shade ‘Nairobi Camellia’ ( don’t ask me how to pronounce that.) Although I’m more of a nude lip gal and rarely go out of my comfort zone when it comes to a bolder lip, I thought I would brave it and try it out for the festive season. Although it is slightly redder than I anticipated, I’m loving the red lip life more than I thought and it might even be my new Winter fave lippy. I would definitely recommend having a browse at The Body Shop’s makeup line as well as their actual skincare as they have some really good quality products, especially their eyeshadow palettes which I got last year as gifts that went down a treat! (which I actually did a post on this time last year!)
I’ll leave a link to all of their christmas gifts below if you fancy having a browse at those but for now, I hope you are all having a fabulous & fun-filled December!
