I hope you are all well and are having a lovely weekend! A few weeks ago I was having a browse in Superdrug as per usual and I came across the new L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara which retails at £7.99 and thought I would add it to my basket and give it a try! After now having tried and tested it, I thought for this weeks post I would share with you my opinions on this mascara and give it a review! I hope you enjoy my lovelies…
To start off, one of the main reasons this mascara grabbed my attention was the gorgeous, bold packaging. I absolutely love the pastel pink and green against the black bottle, I think it looks so pretty but it also makes a statement at the same time! L’Oreal have released this mascara in four different shades: black, indigo, lilac and teal with also a waterproof version of the black one. I think this concept is so original and unique which I love. I chose the normal black shade as I don’t think for me personally I’m brave enough to wear the brighter shades but having the option of all those fab colourful shades is such a great idea that I have noticed is coming back into fashion recently. The packaging of the mascaras are also the same colour as the mascara if that makes sense which adds a nice touch to the collection!
The Mascara Itself:
The mascara claims…
‘It’s time to say bye-bye to boring lashes and hello to new Miss Baby Roll Mascara, for mega volume, curl and all-day hold. Our Mega Curl Roller Brush curls lashes from the root, for an instant lash lift! The Quick Mega Volume formula volumises lashes and holds them in a curl all day.’
After having tried this mascara, I can say that it definitely gives my lashes volume which is something I look for in a mascara and it also lasts all day without flaking or smudging which is a bonus! I also like the fact that this mascara is very black which also helps your lashes to look thicker and adds volume. I would say this mascara gave my lashes some length but not much so if you are looking for a more lengthening mascara, this ones probably not for you as it’s meant to be more for volume like it claims which I totally agree with. This mascara also helped to curl my lashes which is something I don’t partially struggle with, but if you have straighter lashes I would definitely recommend this mascara! I would also say that this mascara is nice and buildable so you can get the effect you want. You can achieve quite a natural look with one coat but a more bolder look if you add more coats. The mascara isn’t too difficult to remove but it depends how many coats you apply.
At first when I saw the wand of this mascara I was a bit unsure if it would work as I’d never seen any mascaras like it before! The wand is essentially a roller which is what helps to curl your lashes which is one of the main selling points of this mascara. I was so pleasantly surprised at how well the wand worked and how easy it was to apply! Even though the wand isn’t curved and is fairly straight, the roller effect definitely curls your lashes nicely like I said earlier.
Overall, I think this is a really good mascara that I would definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a new mascara to try that curls and adds volume to your lashes!
Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you have tried this mascara as I’d love to know your opinions!? This post was also a collab with Meg who has recently started a blog which I know you will all love!
Much Love, Amelia xx
