I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend! As we are now well into Spring which is such a wonderful time of the year, I have switched up the items in my makeup bag from winter to more Spring vibes with the brighter lipsticks and bronzers. I thought I would share with you the bits and pieces that are currently in my makeup bag this Spring from the products I use most on an everyday basis to the products that I throw in there and use now and again. I haven’t done one of these types of posts before so let me know if you find things like this interesting or boring as I always like to know what content you enjoy reading?? Anyway, I hope you enjoy my lovelies…
Every season I like to change up what I keep in my makeup bag to add new items and get rid of some old items and just in general give my makeup a bit of a refresh! Sometimes my makeup bag can get a bit grubby with concealer stains and goodness knows what other makeup stains so if your makeup bag is a bit messy just take a face wipe or any type of wipe and the stains should come off if it is a plastic type of makeup bag. I recently had to change my makeup bag to this Barry M Cosmetics Bag which I absolutely love as my old makeup bag wasn’t a very washable material. I love how this one is big enough to store all the products I need plus eyeshadow palettes and I love anything with a good quote on! The design is adorable with the makeup brushes and cameras and as a beauty blogger, this seems like the perfect makeup bag to store my makeup in! I think these makeup bags are limited edition and there is another design of this makeup bag for a huge discount HERE if you fancy grabbing one!
Moving onto the actual products in my makeup bag, I don’t tend to change my staple items such as concealers and brow products as they mainly stay the same all year round unless I try any new products. The products however that I especially like to switch up are my lippys and eyeshadows. This season I have been moving away from the winter shades and opting for either a pinky nude lip like the Tanya Burr lipstick in the shade ‘Pink Cocoa’ and the Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Kit in the shade ‘Pose’ or a peachy lip like the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade ‘Stockholm.‘ Recently I have been loving a pinky/peachy makeup look for Spring and the TooFaced Sweet Peach Palette is definitely at the top of my wish list seen as Too faced have branched out into a whole peach themed range which is absolutely gorgeous!!
At the moment I have also been loving tinted lip balms as they give a nice natural ‘my lips but better’ look. One of my faves is the Carmex Lip Balm Moisture Plus Sheer Tint in the shade ‘Peach.‘ (surprise surprise) There are 3 shades ‘Peach’, ‘Pink’ and ‘Berry’ to choose from. Even though the weather is getting brighter here in Britain we are still getting some very cold days so this lip balm has been a life saver plus is smells amazing! It also contains vitamin E and SPF 15 and is nice and moisturising so I have been constantly popping this in my makeup bag recently!
For more base products I have been loving the Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit. I have mine in the shade ‘Fair’ as I am sadly pale but they also do another shade ‘Medium’ for slightly darker skin tones. I have already mentioned this product a few times on my blog before but for the price, it is such a great affordable dupe to the Nars contour kit that I would definitely recommend to anyone! I like the fact that the shades are buildable so you can apply as much or as little as you want. I have been going for just a subtle, natural glow and bronze now we are into Spring. I think having a bronzer is a key makeup item around this time of year as it makes such a difference plus you don’t have to go on holiday to have a bit of a bronze! As there hasn’t been much sun for the past few months, it’s nice to make your skin look that bit more healthier. Although I’m not a big fan of blusher, around this time of year it’s nice to add a pop of colour to your skin also like this Sleek Blush in the shade ‘Rose Gold.‘
That brings me to the end of this weeks post! Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what’s in your spring makeup bag or what makeup products you have been loving recently this season as I’d love to know!?
Much Love, Amelia xx
