I hope you are all well and have had a fabulous weekend! As another month has flown by, it’s that time again where I share you the products that I’ve been loving throughout last month! In February I made quite a few new product discoveries from products that I’d always wanted to try, to new products on the market due to splurging on a girly shopping trip! Last month I seemed to have a fair few products that I was loving old and new but I would literally be here all day if I mentioned them all so here are some of my faves! I hope you enjoy my lovelies…
February Favourites 2017:
- Benefit Rollerlash Mascara Mini-£9.95
- Benefit Cream Eyeshadow in the shade ‘r.s.v.p. sparkling champagne’-£15.50
singularly or £24.50 in Easiest Nudes Ever Palette
- Rimmel Brow This Way Eyebrow Gel in the shade ‘Mid Brown’-£3.99
- Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in the shade ‘Etheral’-£2.99
- Carmex Lip Balm Moisture Plus Sheer Tint in the shade ‘Peach’-£2.99 was £4.49
The first product that I was loving throughout February was the Benefit Rollerlash Mascara. I’d always wanted to try this mascara as I’d heard so many great things about it but for some reason or another I never ended up trying it out! I wish I had tried it out sooner because it does everything that I would look for in a mascara as it gives me length, volume and separates my lashes without clumping. There honestly couldn’t be a better mascara that I have tried so far. The Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara which is my holy grail mascara is very similar to this mascara as a cheaper alternative but I must admit I do prefer this one. I have the mini version encase I bought the full size and didn’t end up liking it but now I know I am a huge fan, I may or may not purchase the full size even thought it is quite expensive! I would definitely recommend this mascara if you haven’t yet tried it because it is definitely worth the hype in my opinion!
Another product also from Benefit that I was using a LOT last month was the Benefit Cream Eyeshadow in the shade ‘r.s.v.p. sparkling champagne.’ I got this cream eyeshadow quite a few months ago in the Benefit Easiest Nudes Ever Palette but you can also buy them singularly. It wasn’t until last month that I rediscovered it and stared to use it again and I have no idea why I stopped using it because it is such a gorgeous pink champagne shade that I was wearing pretty much most days last month all over my lid as a base which I mentioned in my Spring Makeup Look 2017. After falling in love with this cream eyeshadow I definitely need to start adding some more cream eyeshadows to my makeup collection because they are great to pop on if you are in a hurry to create a quick and easy eye look and they also don’t crease!
The next product is the Rimmel Brow This Way Eyebrow Gel in the shade ‘Mid Brown.’ I have already reviewed this product in my previous post HERE so I won’t go into too much detail but this had to be my favourite makeup product discovery last month! As my beloved Benefit Gimme Brow was sadly running out, I thought I’d give this Rimmel brow gel a try as they looked like pretty similar products in very different price ranges. The Benefit brow gel is a lot more expensive and until my bank can afford spending £20 on a brow gel rather than spending £3.99 on a brow gel, I think the Rimmel one is a great, cheaper alternative for anyone who is looking for a new eyebrow gel. The brow gel makes my brows look fuller and fills in any sparse areas which is similar to what the Benefit brow gel claims to do. Although it’s not going to be as good a brow gel for the price, for a drugstore product it comes pretty damn close and I will definitely be repurchasing this!!
Although I don’t get the chance to paint my nails often, last month I decided to try out this Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in the shade ‘Etheral.’ This nail polish isn’t too noticeable but gives a lovely pearl shine to your nails without being glittery which I love. Although this shade is more of a pinky/purple on your nails it is still a pretty shade that is quick and easy to apply and dries quickly. I haven’t timed it for 60 seconds like it claims but it definitely dried fast which is great for me as I always end up messing up a nail if they haven’t dried properly! The drama of nail polish am I right??
Moving onto lips, my final favourite of the month was this Carmex Lip Balm Moisture Plus Sheer Tint in the shade ‘Peach.‘ There are 3 shades ‘Peach’, ‘Pink’ and ‘Berry’ to choose from. My lips always seem to be dry especially around this time of year in the colder weather so this lip balm has been a life saver plus is smells like peach! Although the lip balm is tinted, it just gives your lips a your lips but better look if you know what I mean? It also contains vitamin E and SPF 15 and is nice and moisturising. I also love the packaging as it looks more like a lipstick than a lip balm.
That brings me to the end of my February Favourites 2017! Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what your favourite product(s) was throughout February as I’m always on the hunt to try new products!?
Much Love, Amelia xx
