I hope you are all well and Happy New Year! As Christmas is now sadly over and it is the start of a new year, I thought I would share with you the things that I very kindly received this Christmas a few days ago! This post is also a collab with the lovely Simpllyme who is also doing the same post over on her blog which I know you will all love! I hope you enjoy my lovelies…
Before I start I would just like to say that I am very grateful for everything and more that I received and I wouldn’t want to come across as if I was bragging or boasting. I just thought this post might be interesting as I know that I like to read these types of posts!
What I Got For Christmas 2016:
- Zoella Pottering Around Decorative Storage Pots-£10.00
- Primark Gabriella Cat Fluffy Socks-£2.50
- Primark Gabriella Cat Pencil Set-£1.50
The Body Shop British Rose Gift Set (no longer available but you can buy products singularly)
- Benefit Keep It Real Makeup Bag
- Makeup Revolution Redemption Eyeshadow Palette-£4.00
- Lots Of Chocolate!!
For my main present this year I was lucky enough to receive a rose gold iPhone 6s as my contract had expired! I am absolutely over the moon with it but I thought I would focus on the other items I got which are more interesting!
Me and my sister still have a stocking even though we are probably a bit too old now but who says your too old for a stocking!? Inside was a few items that I’d asked for and also a few surprises! The first item I received was the Zoella Pottering Around Decorative Storage Pots which I can’t wait to place on my desk to store a succulent, makeup brushes or whatever you fancy! You may or may not know that I am obsessed with copper and marble along with probably many people so I was very excited about receiving these! I also love the ‘blooming marvellous‘ and ‘pick me‘ quotes which add that extra bit of detail to the pots! I’m not quite sure what these are made out of but they feel quite substantial and don’t feel as though they are made out of plastic like I thought! Anyway, if you are looking for something to add a bit of copper and marble to your room like me, these are fab!!
The next things I received are from Gabreiella’s homeware and stationary range from Primark! I’ve always loved her stationary range and already own a few of her notebooks so this adorable Gabriella Cat Pencil Set will match my notebooks perfectly! Talk about being coordinated!! I had never purchased anything from her clothing or homeware range though so when I also opened these Gabriella Cat Fluffy Socks, I couldn’t wait to try them on! These are now glued to my feet because they are the softest thing I have ever felt, and how cute is the cat design!? The socks even have paw prints on the bottom and a non slip ‘Gabriella‘ logo. I just love the pastel colours throughout her ranges and basically I will definitely be getting myself down to Primark to pick up a few more items, maybe even another pair of these socks!!
Moving onto bath and body things, I very kindly received The Body Shop British Rose Gift Set which includes a shower gel, instant glow body butter and a bath lily all in the British Rose scent because my family and friends all know how much I love The Body Shop and this particular scent so I can’t wait to use these!!
Another gift by Zoella aka Zoe Sugg is her third book, Girl Online Going Solo which I am very excited to read after loving her previous books ‘Girl Online‘ and ‘Girl Online On Tour.’ If you haven’t already read them, I would definitely recommend you have a read!
The next gift is something I wasn’t expecting but at the same time is going to come in very useful which I am actually excited to try! It is this Philips Ladyshave Wet and Dry Electric Razor (which sadly wouldn’t fit in shot along with the hot water bottle) which is essentially an electric razor that claims to ‘shave your whole body quickly, easily and safely.’ This also has a ‘small shaving head for smooth results while protecting your skin.’ I am no expert but it sounds very intriguing which I will be looking forward to trying out to see if it does what it claims!
For Christmas this year, I kindly received quite a few items from Benefit which were the ‘Benefit Gimmie Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel,’ ‘Benefit Browvo! Conditioning Eyebrow Primer,’ ‘Benefit Keep It Real Makeup Bag‘ and a ‘Mini Benefit They’re Real Mascara.’ I have always used brow palettes which have a wax and brow powder and even though they are great, I’ve always wanted to try a product from Benefit’s brow range now they are known for their brows! Now that I have received these and have tried them they are definitely worth the splurge! The Benefit makeup bag was also a lovely surprise as I was in need of a new makeup bag seen as mine has stains all over it and basically needs getting rid of! I have already tried the mascara before and absolutely loved it so having another mini one is fab!!
Another thing that I have always wanted to get my hands on is this Tanya Burr Lipstick in the shade ‘Pink Cocoa.‘ As soon as Tanya released these lipsticks to her makeup range I instantly fell in love with them, especially this gorgeous pinky nude shade but for some reason every time I went into a Superdrug store, they were always out of stock of this shade! Now I have finally got my hands on one, I have been wearing it everyday since! Overall, I would definitely recommend these and I would consider picking up more shades in the future!
I also received this Fairisle Print Knitted Hot Water Bottle from Primark which will also come in very handy for the cold nights here in Britain! The knitted design is so lovely and I know I will get a lot of use out of this! For advent this Christmas, I treated myself to the Makeup Revolution beauty advent calendar which I will be doing a full review on soon but as it had 25 days instead of the traditional 24, on Christmas Day I received this Makeup Revolution Redemption Eyeshadow Palette which has some beautiful shades in that I can’t wait to experiment with! Of course it wouldn’t be Christmas without chocolate so in my stocking I received quite a lot of chocolate which I am finding hard to resist!!
That brings me to the end of What I Got For Christmas 2016! Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and will have a Happy New Year! Comment what your favourite gift was that you received this Christmas?? and make sure to check out the post that Simpllyme did over on her blog! See you in my next post!
Much Love, Amelia xx
