I hope you are all well and are having a lovely weekend! As Christmas is just around the corner, (less than 2 weeks away eek) for me one of the things I love most about Christmas is having a major wrapping session! Call me sad but it is the moment I look forward to each year where I can get creative with everything copper and sparkly in site! I probably go way overboard on the wrapping but I try to make it look as simplistic as I can without making it look too tacky….Anyway for this weeks post I thought I would share with you some Christmas gift wrapping ideas of how I am wrapping my gifts to give to people this year if you are in need of some inspiration! I hope you enjoy my lovelies…
A few days ago I popped into the Card Factory and picked up various bit and pieces such as wrapping paper and ribbon and possibly a few more decorations that I probably didn’t need but I just couldn’t resist! The items that I purchased were nice and inexpensive which meant that I could still have all the recourses I needed and more for wrapping the gifts that didn’t cost me too much money which was fab! This year I wanted to go for something a bit different instead of putting the presents in a gift bag so when I came across these ‘large candle gift boxes‘ I added them to my basket as even though they are meant for candles, I thought they would make lovely gift boxes for other presents as well as candles! There was a few designs to choose from but chose the ones with the red and gold stripes and the black and gold polka dots. The boxes were quick and easy to assemble without having to spend hours on end wrapping which I usually end up doing!! I decided to wrap the gifts inside the boxes too because I am such a wrapping freak but the great thing about these boxes are, you could just pop the gifts inside without having to wrap them and they are already wrapped in a beautiful box! These boxes are also very handy if you have that gift that is oddly shaped and very hard to wrap!
As you can probably guess, this year I went with a gold and red theme with of course a bit of copper! I mean copper wrapping paper?! Oh my life I thought I must have been in gift wrapping heaven when I saw it along with two other gorgeous designs that were in the set of three! Unfortunately Card Factory don’t have all their products online so I couldn’t find them to link below but you should be able to find them in store. I must admit, I am not an expert in wrapping by any means but this is how I wrapped my gifts this year and hopefully this will give you some ideas of how you could wrap your gifts…
Once I had wrapped the gifts, I opened the gift boxes and at first I wasn’t really sure what on earth I was doing but all you do is pull the two ribbons at either side which makes the box pop up which should look like this:
You then push the top section of the box down which folds down to form the lid:
Finally all you have to do is tie the ribbon at the top and voila you have a hopefully beautiful gift box!
You could then go even further to stick on some decorations on top shown below or decorate it however you like but the box looks equally as fab on its own also!
That brings me to the end of this weeks post ‘Quick & Easy Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas 2016!’ Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post and found it in some way helpful if you were in need of some gift wrapping ideas this year!
Much Love, Amelia xx
