I hope you are all well! Now that we are well into Autumn and Christmas is just around the corner (less than 10 Mondays away eeek) it’s a perfect chance to experiment with a new lip look! The other day I received another exciting package from the lovely Seventeen at Boots! This time they sent me their ‘All Out Pout‘ lip palette in the shade ‘Fancy Free‘ and their ‘Lip Lustre‘ in the shade ‘Polished.’ As soon as I managed to open them, I couldn’t wait to try them out and share what I thought with you! I have had them for a few days now which has given me chance to try them so I can give you my honest opinions! I hope you enjoy lovelies…
I’m Going To Start Off With What I think Of The Products Themselves…
I had never tried anything from Seventeen’s lip range before so I was very intrigued to see how the products would perform! Seventeen’s packaging always makes a statement with the bold black and white sleek packaging and the quirky designs. The lip palette in the shade ‘Fancy Free’ definitely grabbed my attention with the bright pink packaging on the box that it came in! If you didn’t already know I love a good lippy but I don’t often go for lip palettes like this one so for me this was very exciting! This ‘All Out Pout’ lip palette come with 6 beautiful shades ranging from cool toned pastels, Barbie pinks and more berry tones. Seventeen also do this palette in another shade ‘Woo Me’ which ranges from warm nudes, vivid oranges and intense reds that I will also link below if you prefer a more bold, statement lip perfect for this season because who doesn’t love a classic red lip!?
The palettes are fab for being handbag-friendly, which allows you to carry 6 gorgeous lip shades at once! It also comes with a generously sized mirror too! They are amazing at creating ombre lips which is a very popular beauty trend at the moment! One of the things I love about this palette is that you can mix up the colours to whatever you like! I have had great fun experimenting with the shades over the past week!
Each palette comes with a small brush to apply the product and a ‘get the look’ guide to give you some inspiration and instructions on creating different looks using the palettes! The palettes retail at a RRP of £7.99 which are available exclusively to Boots. The other product that I very kindly received was one of their ‘Lip Lustre’s‘ in the shade ‘Polished.‘ These retail at a RRP of £3.99 which are also available exclusively to Boots.
The Lip Lustres come in 10 different shades which claim to give ‘fabulous long lasting colour for your lips.’ I got sent the clear shade ‘polished‘ so I can’t say whether the colour of these lasts for a long amount of time on your lips but the clear shade is lovely to pop on top of the shades in the lip palette or a lipstick of your choice. I found that this gave my lips a nice glossy finish which did help the shade underneath last for a longer amount of time. I would love to try their other shades of these in the future so let me know your suggestions in the comments if you have tried any of them?? Seventeen also do a lovely Christmas set ‘Sparkle And Shine Lip Gloss Collection’ which features 6 of their lip lustres which may or may not be going on my Christmas list!!
Moving Onto How I Think The Products Perform & My First Impressions…
My first impressions of the ‘All Out Pout’ lip palette:
As I said it was my first time using a lip palette as I usually stick to single lipsticks so I wasn’t sure quite what to expect! I immediately swatched all the shades like it was Christmas coming early and let me tell you, the pigmentation of the shades is incredible! Most of the pigmentation of the shades transfer the same on the lips however there are some shades that didn’t show up on my lips as much as I hoped them to for example the shade ‘pastel pink.’ I wasn’t too disappointed though as I know shades appear differently on different people sometimes and I know that the brighter shades definitely did transfer as bright has they were when I swatched them to my lips which was fab! I did at first try using the lip brush which gave me more precision and accuracy but I’m not going to lie, I did end up using my fingers as the brush was messing up the beautiful shades!
After trying out and applying the shades from the lip palette, I added the ‘lip lustre’ on top of one of the shades ‘Glistening Nude’ which is probably my favourite shade in the palette! As the shades in the palette alone don’t have the best staying power, the clear lip lustre definitely helped the colour to last longer. The only thing I would say about the lip lustre is that if you are not keen on a glossy feel you probably wouldn’t like this however I can’t speak on the behalf of the rest of the lip lustre shades which aren’t clear.
Overall I would definitely recommend these lip products as I thoroughly enjoyed trying them out and experimenting with them! As they are drugstore, I think they are great products that are definitely worth a try! I would say that I prefer the lip palette more than I do the lip lustre but each to their own! I would definitely like to try the other lip palette Seventeen do in ‘Woo Me‘ which I spoke about earlier too! Who knew someone could talk this much about lip products!?
That brings me to the end of this weeks post! Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you’ve tried any of Seventeen’s lip products or what your favourite lip products are at the moment and I’ll see you in my next post!
Much Love, Amelia xx
