I hope you are all well and are having a lovely weekend! A few weeks ago I got tagged by the lovely Katy from LexiLife to do this post! She has an absolutely wonderful blog and Youtube channel which I know you will all love! You can see her post that she did HERE. The aim in the tag is to share how blogging is changing your life with your readers so I’ve composed a list of things of how blogging is changing my life! Let me know in the comments if any of the points on my list is relatable to you also! I tag everyone who wants to do this post as I think it’s such a nice idea! With my ramble out of the way, here are some reasons how blogging is changing my life…I hope you enjoy lovelies!
Ever since I decided to take the plunge and start blogging I’ve felt a real sense of being part of something, almost like a community where people understand you and appreciate what you love doing. This brings me onto my first point…
A Sense Of Community & Positive Vibes
Over my blogging journey so far I have met so many amazing people who share the same passion as me. It’s so lovely to know that there’s always someone there. Blogging has allowed me to meet people who I never would have met before and would have known about. I appreciate every single like and comment and I know this is getting deep here, but surrounding yourself with positive people can impact you and your life for the better!
Having A Hobby & Sharing A Passion
I’ve always been into cameras and photography ever since I was little when I was taking the disposable cameras off people’s tables at my cousin’s wedding and going round taking photos! Blogging has made my hobby something that I can publish and share with people which to me is amazing! I never would have thought that I would be writing this post now for people to see and read! If I ever get a spare minute I will be either writing blog post ideas down, picking up my camera and taking snaps and even replying to pr emails which I will talk about later! Blogging isn’t for everyone and some may see it as a chore but being able to share a passion and to see other peoples blogs and passions is fantastic to me!
Giving Me A Start For Later Life?
As I briefly mentioned, blogging has given me a start to something that I potentially want to go on to pursue in later life! After studying photography and media studies, I want to hopefully go onto a web designing/photography path! Whether that be working for a brand, magazine or something along those lines! I’ve always read bloggers posts and even Youtube videos of receiving ‘blogger mail’ and always dreamed of working with a company! A few months ago this dream finally came true and I can’t express enough how much I appreciate working with Seventeen at Boots. The team is so lovely and collaborating with them has really given me a taster of what I want to do in later life! Not only does it allow me to blog but about beauty which is another thing I love! I hope you have enjoyed my posts featuring Seventeen and there may be more to come very soon…!! It’s great me talking about how fab everything is but I know there will be some people still hoping and praying that brands will notice them or you are not feeling any motivation but it takes time and never give up! Gaining followers and a community takes time and I couldn’t be more grateful for my lovely readers!
Blogging Is A Learning Curve
I know this one might not make any sense but over my time blogging I have actually learnt a lot from other people and about myself in a positive way! By reading other people’s blogs I have learnt lots of beauty tips and tricks and general life skills! Who would have thought I’d have my head buried in a baking book looking at recipes for a blog post (hint hint for a post coming soon), going for walks with my blogging friends! I wouldn’t be doing any of this if it wasn’t for blogging!
My Bank Account Forever Suffering!
It’s lovely having new blogs to follow and read, but at the same time, my bank account is suffering as a consequence! Those consequences being Kylie Lip Kits, Benefit’s new brow range…the list goes on! Especially being a beauty blogger, this can easily escalate to me frantically browsing Superdrug’s website for all the new beauty releases! I feel like this is a bit of a love/hate relationship but we’ve all been there…hopefully it’s not only me!?
Blogging has given me a growth in confidence whether that be taking my camera out in public or wearing a bolder lipstick! I’m also inspired by other people’s confidence. Although I couldn’t make the last Seventeen blogger event, just being invited gave me a confidence boost!
That brings me to the end of this very long ramble of a post on how blogging is currently changing my life! I know it’s a bit different to the posts that I usually do but I hoped you enjoyed it and I’ll be back with my beauty and lifestyle posts very soon! Thankyou so much for reading as always and thanks again also to Katy for creating this tag! I hope the points I’ve mentioned might be in some way relatable so let me know in the comments if they relate to you and I’ll see you in my next post,
Much Love, Amelia xx
