Top 5 Drugstore Autumnal Lip Products!

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and are as excited for Autumn as I am!? I can’t believe it is this time of year again which means cosy socks, scarfs, hot cups of tea and moving out of the bright pink lips to the nudes and reds! For todays post I thought I would start off this Autumn by sharing with you my top 5 favourite lip products which are all drugstore that are perfect for this season! My previous post was all about my top 5 autumnal nail varnishes which you can see HERE if you fancy having a read of that!

This post is also a collab with the lovely Life As Tilly Rose who is doing a similar post over on her blog. She has an absolutely amazing blog which I know you will all love! She is such a nice person too so I am honoured to be collabing with her.

2. Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick ’08’ £5.49

3. Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick ‘Lave You A Lot’ £4.49

4. Studio London Lip Gloss £4.00

5. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick ‘Nude-ist!’ -£8.99

  1. Rimmel Kate Moss 15 Year Lipstick ‘Boho Nude’

You all probably known by now how much I flipping love this lipstick so of course I couldn’t do a favourite lip products post without mentioning it! I mean the packaging is GORGEOUS to start off with I mean a rose gold lipstick, I’m in heaven already! I remember the day I bought this lipstick and it is probably one of the best decisions makeup wise that I have made to add this gem to my basket! I will most definitely will be purchasing this lippie when it runs out before they are no longer available! I believe Rimmel released this line of lipsticks to commemorate 15 years and the lipsticks range from nudes to reds to purples! I chose this nude shade in ‘boho nude.’

After spending Summer wearing pink lips which are always my go to shades I have been starting to get into more picky nude shades and nudes since we are now in Autumn. I would describe this shade as the perfect classic nude lip that would suit anyone at any occasion! Whenever I’m in a hurry I can be sure to pop this in my handbag and I’m good to go! The shade is quite natural but is still noticeable at the same time. The formula glides on nicely which is another reason why I am slightly obsessed with Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks! I wouldn’t say it lasted a great amount of time on my lips but if you are looking for a great nude lipstick I’d definitely give this one a try!

2. Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick ’08’

I must admit I haven’t reached for this lipstick for some time but recently I have began to wear it more often now it’s Autumn! I don’t know why I ever stopped using it because it’s such a lovely shade. It’s a mix between a deeper pink and a purple shown below which I am absolutely loving!

3. Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick ‘Lave You A Lot’

I have talked about this lipstick quite a lot on my blog recently! I’m all about the matte so when I have a product that doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry like the Sahara desert but still gives a matte finish you can’t go wrong! The shade is nice and pigmented and I am definitely considering picking up some more shades of these! I know I am going to be wearing this throughout Autumn as it’s the perfect classic red lip. (I have already done a full review on this lipstick which you can see HERE for a more in depth review.)

4. Studio London Lip Gloss

Unfortunately I couldn’t seem to find this lip gloss online anywhere as I got it quite a while ago so I have linked one of the lip sets which has a few of these lip glosses in instead. I don’t own many things from Studio London but last year they had some really nice products in at Christmas time including this lip gloss which I thought was such a nice deep plum shade! To me this screams Autumn to me so this had to be one of my top 5 lip picks for this season! On camera when I was taking the swatches on my lips some of the shades look slightly different to what they do in person so although it looks more of a pink, I can assure you it’s more purple!

5. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick ‘Nude-ist!’

Finally I chose one of Bourjois’ velvet liquid lipsticks in the shade ‘Nude-ist!’ The formula is honestly the softest thing I have ever felt on my lips, I know now why they call it ‘velvet’ because that’s the only way I can describe it! They do a wide range of shades of these which I would love to try but for now this one is in pride of place in my makeup draw for Autumn! I would recommend these to anyone! Although this is the most expensive item out of all the products mentioned, I think it’s worth it if you don’t mind paying that little bit extra! I’m dying to get my hands on some more of the Nyx Soft Matte lip creams also so comment down below what shades you would suggest!

That brings me to the end of my Top 5 Drugstore Autumnal Lip Products! Thankyou so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Make sure to check out Life As Tilly Rose’s post that she did over on her blog and I’ll see you in my next post,

Much love, Amelia xx
