Today I’m going to be sharing with you my Spring and Summer must have essentials! I have tried to make these items affordable so you can enjoy the products as much as I do! If you have any questions about anything mentioned in this post please don’t hesitate to leave them below!
- ZoellaBeauty Kissy Missy Lip Balm – £3.00 – Tutti Fruiti Range
I think lip balms are always great to carry around in your bag or to have at home. My favourite lip balms for Spring and Summer are tinted lip balms because they still moisturize your lips and at the same time add a pop of colour! The ZoellaBeauty ‘Tutti Fruiti’ range (By Zoe Sugg) is being discontinued soon to make room for her newest range ‘Sweet Inspirations.’ The scent of this lip balm is also lovely, it honestly smells like Summer in a pot! The actual pigmentation of this balm is quite a bright Barbie Pink so you can build up the colour to be just subtle or if you wanted you could make the colour brighter! If you can’t get hold of ZoellaBeauty near you, I have also put in another lip option which brings me onto my next must have…
2. Maybelline BabyLips Lip Balm – £2.99- In the shade ‘Pink Punch’
This lip balm is similar to the Kissy Missy lip balm but in a stick form. I actually prefer this to a pot as you don’t have to get your fingers messy! The scent smells to me like sweet peach which I really like. This again is very similar to the previous lip balm, but I would say this one is a lot more subtle on the lips.
3. Sleek Rose Gold Shimmer Blush– £4.99
Next is a newer item that I have added to my makeup collection which I have been loving recently and it is my Sleek Blush in the shade ‘Rose Gold.’ I think blusher is an essential for Spring and Summer as it adds a little flush of colour to your cheeks in the warmer weather! I especially like this Sleek blush because it is a very handy compact size with a good quality mirror!
4. Riverisland Sunglasses -£5 (near match)
Obviously sunglasses are essential for Summer for when the sun is shining! (Hopefully!) I got my pair from RiverIsland and I got quite a lot of ware out of them last year although I’m not really the sunglasses type! They are quite simple with gold detailing and the RI logo on the sides.
5. The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist– 100ml- £9.50
I haven’t yet mentioned this product on my blog and I have no idea why because it is amazing! If your not sure what a ‘Vitamin E Face Mist’ is, it is a mist made of rosewater that you spray on your face after you have done your makeup and it acts like a setting spray. It also has Vitamin E in it which is good for your skin and claims to be for ‘all skin types.’ If you don’t wear makeup, this is still a great mist to have to give your face a ‘moisture boost’ in the heat. The scent is also nice and floral.
6. Barry M Mattte Nail Paint -in the shade ‘Miami Pink’- £3.99
I have talked about this nail varnish on my ‘Top 5 Spring Nail Varnishes‘ post in more detail but I wanted to mention it as I love to wear a nail varnish/polish at this time of year! Although I have many nail varnishes (and for some reason I keep on buying more) but this one has to be one of my faves! It is also a nice bright colour that would look amazing if you were going on holiday! (sadly I’m not this year but I’m still going to be wearing it!) I find Barry M nail varnishes long lasting too.
7. Skin Clear Oil Free Mattifying Lotion – £2.99
I don’t know why I have seven items because it’s a bit of an odd number but hey ho, this moisturizer is my last item and I think I have definitely saved the best still last! As you can tell by the product name it is oil free which is a huge bonus for me and it is also a mattifying lotion which helps your makeup to stay on all day as the lotion acts like a primer! Here is what the lotion claims to do:
- Instant matte complexion
- Reduces shine
- Removes excess oil
I totally agree with these points in my experience! It is one of my favourite skin care products I use on a day-to-day basis. I apply this every morning and night and it works wonders! (see here for my full review on this)
Thank you so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what your essentials are for Spring and Summer in the comments and I’ll see you in my next post!
